Save image as JPG / PNG — free, with no usage limit

Many people used a "save image as type" extension to turn WebP and AVIF images into JPG or PNG. In 2026 the original listing was removed from the Chrome Web Store, and some replacements now cap free use (for example, a few conversions before asking for payment). If you just want the right-click feature back, here is an option that keeps it free.

PixLasso is our product. We are not affiliated with any other "save image as" extension; this page describes public store listings as of October 2026.

How it works

1. Add PixLasso to Chrome or Edge.
2. Right-click any image → Save image as JPG / PNG / WebP → pick a format.
3. The image is converted on your computer and saved as a true .jpg (never .jfif) or .png.

Single-image conversion is free forever, with no daily or lifetime cap. PixLasso also downloads all images on a page as one ZIP (free up to 30 per download); converting whole batches is part of Pro ($9.99 once).

Privacy

No ads, no affiliate links, no tracking, no remote code. PixLasso asks for site access only the first time you convert, and images never leave your computer.
