On a search page I checked on 29 October 2026, 78 of 92 item photos were served as s-l500.webp: 500 pixels and WebP, which many editors and upload forms reject. The large copy sits at the same address with two parts changed. That is useful when you back up your own listings, move them to another marketplace, or relist an item you photographed.
Right-click a photo and open it in a new tab. The address ends in something like /s-l500.webp or /s-l140.webp.
s-l1600 for the large copy. In my check the three photos came back at 1600×1600, 1600×1429 and 1017×725: eBay caps the long side at 1600 and never enlarges a smaller upload..webp to .jpg as well and eBay sends a real JPEG (image/jpeg), so you skip the WebP step.So …/s-l500.webp becomes …/s-l1600.jpg. Do this for each photo.
s-l1600 copy for you; those show an HD badge. To save several listings at once, open each in a tab and choose All tabs: every listing gets its own folder (step by step). The free version saves up to 30 images per download in their original format; converting a batch to JPG and larger batches are part of Pro ($9.99 once). Right-click Save image as JPG on a single photo is free.
Use this for photos you took or have permission to use. eBay's rules do not allow using another seller's photos in your listing without their permission.
