How to download Shein product images at full size

Shein serves product photos from its image server, img.ltwebstatic.com, and the size the page asked for is written into the file name. If you sell on Shein and want your own listing photos back, or a supplier has told you in writing that you may use their product shots, one cut in the address gets you the stored file.

What Shein's image server sends

Right-click a product photo and choose "Open image in new tab". On Shein's US home page the product grid uses addresses like this:

https://img.ltwebstatic.com/v4/j/spmp/2026/08/25/70/1787671876d3…a690a9700b15_thumbnail_405x552.jpg

_thumbnail_405x552 is a box the photo is fitted into, keeping its shape. That one came back as a 405×539 JPEG of 46 KB. With the _thumbnail_405x552 part removed, the same address returned a 1340×1785 JPEG of 362 KB.

I tried this on 27 product photos linked from the home page. The address without the size returned a JPEG every time, from 913×913 up to 2200×2200 pixels. Fourteen of the 27 were 1340×1785, a 3:4 portrait shape, and 11 of the other 13 were squares. The stored files were 5 to 33 times the size in bytes of the 405 px copies.

Asking for a bigger number does not enlarge anything. On the six photos I tried it on, _thumbnail_3000x returned the same bytes as the address without a size. _thumbnail_1340x on a photo that is already 1340 px wide returned a re-compressed copy, 261 KB against 340 KB for the stored file, so removing the size works better than guessing one. A plain request with no cookies or referrer got the same files as one with Chrome's headers.

Method 1: Edit the address (one photo, no install)

  1. On a Shein page, right-click the product photo and choose "Open image in new tab".
  2. In the address bar, delete _thumbnail_ and the size after it, and make the ending .jpg. So …a9700b15_thumbnail_405x552.jpg becomes …a9700b15.jpg. If the address ends in .webp or .avif, change that to .jpg as well.
  3. Press Enter, save the photo with "Save image as", then check its pixel size.

The ending does not convert anything. Changing it to .png returned the same JPEG as .jpg on the six photos I tried. The reverse also held: two product photos on the home page were stored as 400×400 PNGs, and their .jpg address sent that PNG. For those two the grid copy was already the stored file, byte for byte.

Method 2: Every photo on a page, or on many listings, in one ZIP

  1. Add PixLasso to Chrome or Edge and open a Shein product page or search page.
  2. Click the PixLasso icon. It removes the _thumbnail_ size from Shein photo addresses and asks for the .jpg (.png for PNG files), and those photos show an HD badge.
  3. Leave Min size at 100px+. It measures the copy on the page, not the original, and the product copies on Shein's home page are 288 to 405 px wide, so a higher setting would drop real product photos.
  4. For several products, open each one in its own tab and choose All tabs. Every product gets a folder named after its tab title, with " | SHEIN USA" taken off the end, the photos numbered in page order and a source.txt holding the page link. Two tabs with the same title get "Title (2)".
  5. Click Download.

WebP, AVIF and JPG

Shein's page script checks whether your browser can show WebP and AVIF, and the image server has a .webp and an .avif version of every photo I tried. The ending is not a reliable label, though. For the full-size .webp address, 15 of the 27 photos came back as real WebP and 12 as JPEG data sent under a WebP label. The 900 px .webp copy was JPEG data in 25 of 27. The .avif address returned AVIF for 26 of 27.

The .jpg address returned a JPEG for all 27, which is why Method 1 ends in .jpg and PixLasso asks for it when it removes the size. PixLasso names each file in the ZIP after the format that actually arrived, never after the address. For a WebP or AVIF you already saved, see how to turn WebP and AVIF into JPG.

Whose photos these are

The photos on a Shein listing can belong to Shein, to the third-party seller who listed the product, or to the brand or photographer they came from. Shein's US Terms and Conditions (section 6) say the site's content, photographs included, "may be the property of SHEIN or others", that it is "intended solely for personal, non-commercial use", and that downloading or copying it needs "the prior written consent of the Company or the respective owners". Use this for your own listing photos, or with written permission from the owner. Saving a photo does not give you the right to list with it.

What PixLasso costs, and what it does not do on Shein

The free version saves up to 30 images per download in their original format. With All tabs, a bigger batch stops at the end of a whole product tab (or after 30 images if the first tab alone has more), and each press after that saves the next batch. Pro is a single US$9.99 payment (the launch price until 31 December 2026, then US$14.99). It removes the 30-file limit and adds batch conversion to JPG, PNG or WebP, resizing and padding every photo to a white square, and custom file names. Right-click Save image as JPG / PNG / WebP on a single photo is free.

Saving many listings at once, one folder per product with its link: see this guide.

Address edits checked 1 November 2026 on Shein's image server with 27 product photos linked from Shein's US home page, fetched with Chrome's image request headers and with a plain request. I made PixLasso, and I mention it where it helps; the first method needs no extension.
